Foundation SmartBabies was founded in 1998, as result of a market study to the educational toys market. Being a familiar based company, soon started to develop the market for specialized educational toys, which was not very traditional in Portugal. Some of the materials, like wood or fabric were not popular as plastic was the preferred raw material for toys. Our company introduced in the toy market some of the first wooden toys seen in Portugal and in a short period other companies followed this vision. Today tenths of other companies share the market offering wooden and fabric toys. The market changed due to our vision and perseverance. |
